More videos...Liam rocking out to Led Zepplin

I should note that this video is from a few months ago!

Science Sunday!

Today was Liam's first trip to the St. Louis Science Center, where he waved hello to a T Rex, learned about nanotechnology, and watched the cars zoom by underneath his feet.

To date, he has accumulated quite a charming vocabulary complete with the words, "Mamam", "Dada", "Hey, Dada", "Dis", "Dat", "Bath", "Ball", "Help", and several other unintelligible-to-anyone-else-but-his-mother sentences. The rockets continue to blast off, although, as his father says, he is the worst mission control ever, as you can never tell when the countdown will end! Someday, we'll get this on video to share.

Farewell, July 2011!

You have been a miserably hot month, July 2011, yet we managed to have many fun times during you. Here's hoping for cooler climes in the days ahead!

A backlog of videos

As you can tell from this post and the post preceding, we're a bit behind on posting the videos. Thanks to the generosity of one of our dearest friends, we are able to provide you with live action Liam from time to time. This is a more recent video from this month that gives you a sense of just how much Liam loves water.

Hope you enjoy!

Speeding to his first birthday

So, this was his birthday party at day care. We'll continue playing catch-up over the next few days.

Almost up to speed...

well...maybe not quite there yet.

Still more catching up...

AND, this should teach me not to wait until the toddler is, well, a toddler to post. You see three generations of Harper men in this series.

Liam the Monkey Bear

So, as most things in our household, Liam actually has multiple names, some of which we can share here and some of which are ours all ours to know. Here, you see how he earned his moniker "Monkey Bear"!

November 2010

When these were taken, Liam was very into sticking his tongue out. Our first hints of the clown that lies within!

And still more...

Speeding through the first year

Which is basically how the first year seemed to go. It was a blur of ear infections (at least ten since January of 2011), call nights (too many to want to ever remember), sleepless nights (still ongoing), work weekends (tough with two working parents), and love.

Coming to terms

With his fate, he eventually learned to laugh, command, and generally own his position as "The Emperor" of the household.

Current Stats

Liam recently had his follow-up ENT appointment (after getting tubes six or so weeks ago), and he was weighed a measured there. He is now roughly 30 in. tall and weighs somewhere around 24-25 lbs. Not too bad!

Why is he so scared?

Liam spent much of his first days doing some amazing things, such as "face cycling", which basically consisted of him practicing different facial expressions. I considered it market testing. Sadly, we were unable to catch the cycling in video, but trust us, it was quite scientific and clearly proved that he was a genius from the beginning. :)

Catching Up

Here is a photo montage of our little bear, age 0 through 1 month. (more to follow) I'd like to say I have a photograph for every month, but we weren't that together. Parents of the Year, we are not, but we love our bear, and we like to think that we spent more time playing with him than photographing ourselves spending time with him. That's something, right?

I walk the line...

Because the kitty food is mine...

Liam Moon = Toddler Monster

So, we haven't been great about updating this blog..well...at all, but I figure, better late than never, right? Bear with us, as we catch up on the life and times of one, Liam Moon, and his past fifteen months. We promise to try to do better in the coming months.
